Chloe and Halle Covers Pretty Hurts and Gets Love from BEYONCE

Beyonce has recently shown ALOT of love to kid talent on her Facebook and Instagram. Chloe and Halle who were students of Project SLIDE were recently one of them.  If you know them like we do you know they LOVE Beyonce so how cool of to get that stamp of approval by Beyonce herself. They covered Beyonce's Pretty Hurts flawlessly so we can see why  the "Queen Bey" herself couldn't deny the talent that these two young ladies have. Project SLIDE's founder Samantha aka Cakes remembers meeting them 4 years ago and seeing the potential in these too ladies. After meeting with them I knew I had to post a video of them.  I then started doing their choreography, introducing them to people in the industry, and supporting their careers.  Check out the cover of pretty hurts and SLIDE'S recent dance video to Beyonce's Flawless. Kudos to Chloe and Halle and look out for them as it's clear to see their future is bright. Also check out Project SLIDE Atlanta's premiere dance program for kids and our awesome services for kid dancers and singers. www.projectslide.com

CAKES MEETS ABBY LEE FROM DANCE MOMS!!

I know you've all heard of the show DANCE MOMS by now, well I recently had the chance to sit and chat with ABBY LEE herself. It was such a treat! She talked about the show the good, the bad, and the ugly and offered advice. She was surprisingly VERY nice although you can tell she doesn't play any games. She started her studio with one goal in mind to simply train and produce employable dancers which explains her strict style of teaching. If you don't know the entertainment/dance world can be very harsh so her method honestly prepares you for the real dance world. While she was talking Maddie and Mckenzie walked in, it was cool to see how they treated her like a second mom and you can tell that she fully supports them because they consistently work hard,  remain positive, and are amazingly talented. Overall, it was such a great experience and I look forward to having her at SLIDE one day...or even having our own show! Let us know your thoughts on her show and/or if we had our own show.

Football Player Takes Ballet classes!

We've heard people say that ballet is great for athletes but I've never seen any football players in class so when I read the story of Pittsburgh Steelers nose tackle Steve McLendon taking ballet classes I had to share it.  Awesome story! Remember dance is definitely a great and fun way to work out and stay fit. Don't believe me check out this video? :-)
