Project SLIDE teaches workshop for Atlanta Braves She Can Play Event

Project SLIDE offers a free hip hop workshop for the Atlanta Braves She Can Play event. She Can Play is an initiative aimed at encouraging girls between the ages of 8 and 12 years old to make healthy choices for their minds and bodies and enhance their lives through sports and physical activity. During the event, girls participated in fitness festival stations hosted by various health and sports related groups then participated in a discussion and healthy living activity. Cakes led the hip hop dance station again this year and even had two awesome Slide students assist with the class. Thanks again to the Braves community outreach for inviting us again this year. 

Project SLIDE presents their 5th Annual Recital Destined to Dance

 Get ready to move and be moved as some of Atlanta's most talented kids and teenagers hit the stage for Project SLIDE’s 5th Annual Dance Recital “Destined to Dance” on Sunday, May 11th at 7:00pm at Woodruff Arts Center Alliance Stage. The students will perform various comprehensive numbers in hip hop dancing, contemporary, musical theater, acro and more providing fun-filled entertainment for the entire family.

“Our students work hard all year long” Says Samantha Stone founder and choreographer of Project SLIDE “We have this show every year to give our students an opportunity to showcase what they’ve learned and to give back,” she continued. In honor of Mother’s Day the 5th Annual Dance Recital will donate 5% of all ticket sales to the Susan G. Komen Greater Atlanta Affiliate.
