Atlanta Adult Hip Hop Classes at SLIDE DANCE STUDIOS

Bored with your exercise routine? Project S.L.I.D.E., Atlanta’s hippest comprehensive dance studio, is now offering a weekly Adult Hip Hop Class beginning Wednesday, Nov. 6. from 11 a.m. – noon. Stay fit through the holidays while having the time of your life!  

 

Hip hop dance is not only aerobic, burning calories and lowering blood pressure and stress, but also tones muscles, builds strength and allows for more flexibility in the joints.

SLIDE'S FIRST PERFORMANCES OF THE SEASON!!

Yesterday was amazing thanks to all of our awesome parents and students that participated. We were so proud of all you, both shows (BBQ & PLAYDAY) were GREAT! We are so lucky to have such talented kids. Please check out our SLIDE SUNDAYS video today that features our SLIDE MINIS performing. More videos will be posted each SUNDAY! CAKES MEETS ABBY LEE FROM DANCE MOMS!!

I know you've all heard of the show DANCE MOMS by now, well I recently had the chance to sit and chat with ABBY LEE herself. It was such a treat! She talked about the show the good, the bad, and the ugly and offered advice. She was surprisingly VERY nice although you can tell she doesn't play any games. She started her studio with one goal in mind to simply train and produce employable dancers which explains her strict style of teaching. If you don't know the entertainment/dance world can be very harsh so her method honestly prepares you for the real dance world. While she was talking Maddie and Mckenzie walked in, it was cool to see how they treated her like a second mom and you can tell that she fully supports them because they consistently work hard,  remain positive, and are amazingly talented. Overall, it was such a great experience and I look forward to having her at SLIDE one day...or even having our own show! Let us know your thoughts on her show and/or if we had our own show. 

Football Player Takes Ballet classes!

We've heard people say that ballet is great for athletes but I've never seen any football players in class so when I read the story of Pittsburgh Steelers nose tackle Steve McLendon taking ballet classes I had to share it.  Awesome story! Remember dance is definitely a great and fun way to work out and stay fit. Don't believe me check out this video? :-)

SLIDE SUNDAYS RELAUNCHES TODAY OCT 22nd!

We started SLIDE SUNDAYS last season and it was a hit so its returning starting TODAY at 6pm. SLIDE SUNDAYS is where we post awesome videos every SUNDAY at 6pm on our youtube channel. This is a great way for parents to see what we've been working on and to be able to share it with family members that live far away. We were so excited to have People Magazine, Ludacris, and Karma shoot at Project SLIDE.  The shoot was for their father's day issue and the photos came out awesome.
